I spent a week in Eaton, Maryland at Easton Studio and School for a workshop with Camille Przewodek. Similar to Lee Boynton, she studied at the Cape Cod School of Art with Henry Henshe. I need repetition, repetition...before it really sinks in. I liked her direct style of teaching and I felt that I was getting in the flow in these two. Both are plein air, 12" x 9" oil on archival panel.
I love this painting. Many years ago, I spent a week in Provincetown studying with Henry Hensche. Although it was too short, it was extremely eye-opening and affected me greatly. I am surprised that I was able to spot his influence here, even if it was indirect.
ReplyDeleteSharon,
ReplyDeleteI'm proud that you see Henshe in my work. I've studied with two of his students: Camille and Lee Boynton. I guess it is starting to sink in! I'm excited that Camille and others have also recreated the Cape Cod School in Ptown in addition to teaching their own workshops throughout the country.
